RED ROMAN COPE AND STOLE SET WITH FIVE WOUNDS OF CHRIST EMBROIDERY

Product Details

This set consists of a Cope and a matching Stole. The material of the garments is Church Brocade/ Damask fabric with Cross designs and the Orphreys are made with high quality Silk Fabric with Cross Embroidery. The hood of the cope is U shaped and is embroidered with IHS surrounded by the crown of thorns placed inside a sun below this is  THE FIVE WOUNDS OF CHRIST  imagery and the hood  is interfaced with CANVAS. In the front part of the cope it has got CANTERBURY CROSS embroidery attached to it .The stole measures 52″ and is embroidered with the Latin words VULNERA QUINQUE  DEI SUNT MEDICINA MEI (MAY THE FIVE WOUNDS BE MY MEDICINE) each word separated with a Canterbury cross .The stole and the mass set is embroidered with the CANTERBURY  cross .

• Stole: 52 inches from shoulder to bottom (108 inches from end to end including the fringes)
• The interior of the cope is lined with a Contrasting Blue Satin Fabric.

Cope: The Cope is a liturgical vestment, which looks like a long mantle or cloak made from a semicircular piece of fabric, open in the front and fastened at the breast with a hook or clasp. It may be of any liturgical color.
